Pope Francis had an informal conversation with journalists aboard the plane. In the midst of a warm and even humorous dialogue, he expressed the teaching of the Catholic Church – and the Sacred Scripture – concerning mercy and forgiveness. He affirmed that those who struggle with same sex attraction should be treated with human dignity and given the respect due to all human persons. There is absolutely nothing new or newsworthy in these comments. The Pope indicated that if someone struggles with same sex attraction, including a priest, but “searches for the Lord and has good will”, he will not judge them. He will treat them as brothers and sisters in the Lord.

Some are suggesting that the new pope has announced that “gay is okay.” That was NOT what he was talking about

DJ Khaled Proposal Was Marketing Stunt To Get Attention For New Song

So we guess the joke is on us and everyone else who wrote about, listened to or said anything regarding the alleged DJ Khaled proposal to Nicki Minaj. It was an apparent marketing ploy to get everyone talking about the two in order to release their new song “I Wanna Be With You.” We’re not sure why they would think that people wouldn’t be irritated about it…but they were obviously willing to take the chance.

This is sad news coming from the enclave of Don Jazzy run Mavin Records as we hear that the remaining cash cow in the Record label, Wande Coal, has taken a walk after staying loyal to the label for years and even refusing to skip with his pal, D’Banj, to set up his own record label called Black Diamond Entertainment. According to tooxclusive.com, Wande Coal who has yet to fully maximize his musical potential, decided to take the bold step and start out on his own instead of hanging out with Mavin forever after the break- up of Mo’Hits Records. His new single, ‘Kilaju’ which was produced by Maleek Berry, dropped a few days ago on his own label. Calls made to his management team to confirm the story were not picked and even an sms sent to them was not returned but a close source said that Wande has actually taken a walk and wants to be able to manage his own affairs.

ASUU NOT READY TO CALL OF THE STRIKE

ABUJA — ACADEMIC Staff Union of Universities, ASUU, has described as speculative reports that the strike embarked upon by the union over the inability of the Federal Government to implement the 2009 agreement it willinglyentered into with the union would be called off this Thursday.
National President of ASUU, Dr. Nasir Fagge, told Vanguard that he was surprised to hear that the union was going to call off the strike on Thursday when the issues tabled before government had not been resolved.
Faggae said: “There is nothing like that (suspending the strike). I am also surprised to hear people say that we are going to call off the strike.
He said: “Our members have made it categorically clear what they want. This meeting we had with government on Friday at the office of the Secretary to the Government of the Federation, SGF, is just exploratory.
“We are trying to look at issues holisticallyand see how we are going to address them. So assignments were given to various people that attended the meeting and the expectation is that we will meet tomorrow (today), Monday and look at theassignment given and also look at it on Thursday again.
“So, that is why I’m surprised to hear people say that we are going to suspend strike on Thursday. The mandate of our members is very clear. So, we will wait andsee what the Monday and Thursday meetings unfold and then we report back to our members.”

  Tanzania's Nando has been disqualified from the Big Brother House.

After tonight's Evictions that saw Annabel and Sulu being given the boot, Big Brother then gathered all of the Housemates in the living room.

Today Big Brother reproached Nando for the fight that he had with Elikem on Friday. The heated face-off with Elikem saw the two fellas exchanging fiery words between them. Nando is the one that instigated the fight. Instigation and provocation is a violation of the Big Brother rules.

For this fight Nando received his second Strike and Elikem was has served with his first Strike. Afterwards the Tanzanian was called into the Diary Room. He was given his third Strike for making threats against Elikem's life, saying: "I feel like stabbing him. A nigga like that deserves to die".

And he was also caught sleeping with scissors under his bed and this is not the first time that he has been caught with a weapon in the House. The troubled young fellow has had a dramatic nine weeks in The Chase. Last month he was served with a a Strike and a stern warning from Big Brother after he was found carrying a knife to the Channel O Party. The possession of weapons or intention to be violent in the House another violation of the Big Brother rules.

After the Diary session Nando was told to immediately exit the House. Big Brother then gave a warning to the Housemates to conduct themselves as adults.

FG,ASUU MEETING,STUDENTS HAVE HOPE NOW 

IT seems an end to the prolonged strike embarked upon by the Academic Staff Union of Universities (ASUU) may be called off as the body and the Federal Government have come to a reasonable agreement. Rising from a three-hour closed-door meeting held at the office of the Secretary to the Government of the Federation (SGF) Friday, both parties achieved reasonable success in the negotiation as all issues except two were agreed on. The Secretary to the Federal Government (SGF), Anyim Pius Anyim was at the head of the FG team along with the Education and Labour Ministers while ASUU’s team was led by its President, Dr Nasir Isa Fagge. Briefing journalists afterwards, the Chairman, University Needs Implementation Committee, Gabriel Suswam said,
