Offiong community in Odupani Local Government of Cross River state. As the road (Calabar-Itu Highway) is dangerous now, So many transport companies have stopped plying the road and some were asked to return back with the passengers due to the clash.
The fracas started silently on Friday 13/01/2017, The known clash is believed to have started again due to the unresolved dispute
over claims to the wetland demarcating the two communities.
The inter-communal conflict between the two communities has
over the years resulted in loss of lives including women and children.
Houses and markets were usually burned down while vehicles traveling
along the Calabar-Itu Highway were set ablaze and property along that
corridor also razed to the ground.
Crises between the Ibibio ethnic group in Itu LGA, Akwa
Ibom State and the Efiks in Odukpani LGA, Cross River State have
escalated since the 1970s and 1980s and become rampant in Nigeria since
1999.
In 2012, no fewer than 40 persons were killed, while four
riot policemen and the village head were reported to have been beheaded

Dr Brian Steixner, Director of the Institute for Men’s Health at Jersey Urology Group in the US, advised men that sleeping in your boxers or briefs could lead to fertility problems.
According to the medic, sleeping in underwear can affect the quality of sperm because men’s crotches become too warm in the night.
He said:
“Your nether regions need to be just the right temperature in order to optimise sperm production.“More bacteria makes for a higher likelihood that any chafed or irritated skin down there becomes infected.”Dr Steixner explained the quality of sperm can be affected by men's crotches overheating at night.

World Bank - Nigeria will get out of recession this year
In a statement on Wednesday , the bank said
“Sub-Saharan African growth is expected to pick up modestly to 2.9 per cent in 2017 as the region continues to adjust to lower commodity prices.“Growth in South Africa and oil exporters is expected to be weaker, while growth in economies that are not natural-resource intensive should remain robust.“Growth in South Africa is expected to edge up to a 1.1 per cent pace this year. Nigeria is forecast to rebound from recession and grow at a 1 per cent pace. Angola is projected to expand at a 1.2 per cent pace.” Commenting on the report, the President, World Bank Group, Jim Yong Kim, stated,“After years of disappointing global growth, we are encouraged to see stronger economic prospects on the horizon.
“Now is the time to take advantage of this momentum and increase investments in infrastructure and people. This is vital to accelerating the sustainable and inclusive economic growth required to end extreme poverty.”
