12 Years A Slave’ To Be Used As A Classroom Teaching Tool
According to a press release, the National School Boards Association is partnering with New Regency, Penguin Books and filmmakers to distribute copies of the NAACP Image Award-winning film, original book, and study guide to public high schools across the US.
The new initiative is coordinated by famed talk show host Montel Williams. Sources say 12 Years A Slave, written in 1841 by free Black man-turned-slave Solomon Northup, will be a required teaching tool starting September 2014, the new school year.

According to E! News even though Chris Brown has completed his court-ordered 90 days in rehab a judge ordered him to stay at the facility for further treatment.
Now speculation is running wild and everyone is trying to figure out if Chris is staying because he wants to get more treatment and work on some things within himself or has this judge ensured that he stays put in the rehab facility to keep him out of trouble?
Hollywood Life is reporting that a source tells them,
“He wants to stay there a little while longer to make sure he’s absolutely ready to be back in society. He doesn’t want any issues with his temper to flare up when he’s in public so he’s taking a few more days to work on some anger treatments so that he keeps his buttons under control.
