LADY GAGA NAMED WORLD'S MOST POWERFUL MUSICIAN
Story By Precious

Lady Gaga has been named the most powerful musician in the world, according to Forbes magazine.

The singer earned $80 million between June 1 2012 and 2013, and likely would have earned $30 million more had she been not been felled by a hip injury that caused her to cancel a number of shows on her Born This Way Ball tour, the magazine said.

Forbes also factored her massive social presence — 38 million Twitter followers and 58 million Facebook fans — into the equation.

Gaga trailed only Oprah Winfrey — who made $77 million –in the overall celebrity Top 100.

Beyoncé — who grosses $2 million in every city she plays — finished second among musicians and has lucrative deals with Pepsi and H&M. She finished fourth overall. Madonna and Taylor Swift finished third and fourth, respectively, with Bon Jovi finishing fifth. Justin Bieber, Jennifer Lopez, Rihanna, Coldplay and Katy Perry round out the Top 10.

Jay-Z finished 32nd, though figures to do better next year, after this summer’s huge tour with Justin Timberlake and his forthcoming album “Magna Carta Holy Grail.”
