Usher Gives Tameka Raymond A Hug After Winning Emergency Custody Hearing

Usher Tameka
Tameka Raymond’s attempt to get full custody of her two sons, 5-year-old Usher Raymond V and 4-year-old Naviyd, ended unsuccessfully today.
According to reports, an Atlanta judge ruled that the children’s father, pop star Usher Raymond, will maintain primary caregiver despite the swimming pool accident that took place on August 5th.

Tameka, who has limited custodial rights, requested the emergency hearing after Usher Jr., known as Cinco, nearly drowned under the supervision of Usher’s aunt Rena Oden. In the court filing, she claimed that Mr. Raymond is an absentee father and leaves their children under the care of unfit family members.
However, the judge described the incident as an “awful accident” and dismissed Tameka’s request.
“What happened here was an awful accident. And I don’t know based on the evidence I heard that any single person could have done any better as Ms. Odom,”  the judge said. “I’m denying the motion.”
“I would say, Mr. Raymond, in the future you would be well-advised to keep your former spouse informed about your whereabouts and who is taking care of the kids,” he added.
After a long day in court, Usher walked over to his former wife of two years and gave her hug.
But, the battle is not over. During an interview with HLN’s Ryan Smith, the mother said she’ll ”be back in court on the 27th.”
“We’ll revisit all of this,” Tameka said. “It was only a very small amount of evidence that was allowed because this was an emergency and we were trying to get something changed immediately. But for the long term, I’ll see on the 27th.
As far as Cinco’s health, she said, “He’s doing okay Getting back to normal.”
